Hotel Security Officer Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities

• Protect hotel property, guests and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance to guests in distress.
• Check for suspicious persons or activities on the property
• Monitor surveillance cameras and other security equipment
• Inspect hotel rooms for safety hazards and report any issues to the appropriate department
• Patrol the hotel grounds, parking areas, and public spaces to ensure the safety of guests and employees
• Investigate any suspicious activities or incidents that may occur on the property
• Maintain records of all security incidents and make regular reports to management
• Enforce hotel policies and procedures, including safety regulations and guest guidelines – Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a polite and professional manner

Requirements

• Age- minimum 25 years.
• Fluent in both English and Setswana languages
• Must have no criminal record.
• Must be mature and responsible
• Physically and mentally fit.
• Have integrity and self-discipline
• Ability to adapt to working under pressure.
• Customer centricity.
• Previous experience as a security Officer is an added advantage

Experience

• At least 2 years experience in security or law enforcement

Education

• To become a security officer, you typically need to have a minimum of BGCSE/Cambridge and/or certificate in security management. Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR certification would be an added advantage.
